HOW DO I GET SOLAR?

That’s the easy part! Simply get in touch with a member of the Dunton Group team and we’ll help you with each step.

REDUCE OR REMOVE YOUR ENERGY BILLS

A big reason to go solar is to reduce or avoid having to pay an energy bill at all. The majority of Solar Systems that we install across the Mornington Peninsula and surrounding suburbs are paid off within 3-5 years. Meaning that every year after that is a significant financial saving for your home or business.

A MORE SUSTAINABLE FUTURE

Solar energy is a clean and green alternative to powering our homes or businesses, helping our environment both now and in the future.

GOVERNMENT INCENTIVES

The Australian and State Governments have a range of incentives on offer to encourage us to consider Solar power for our home and/or business. As a result now is a great time to look at the options involved with installing a solar solution.

INCREASE YOUR PROPERTY VALUE

Recent research undertaken within the real estate industry has suggested that property with a solar system are more likely to receive a higher selling price then those without solar.

HOW DOES SOLAR WORK?

Solar power uses Photovoltaic Cells to capture the energy of the sun in the form of DC energy. The DC energy is converted via a solar inverter to what is known as AC energy, this AC energy is what is used in your home or business. An inverter is wired into your main switch board where the AC energy is utilized to help power your property and if any excess energy is available it will be sent back to the grid in exchange for a ‘feed in tariff.’ The tariff is something that constantly changes and is determined by the energy provider.

If a battery is utilized as part of the solar system then the excess energy will be stored for use at night, or during extreme shade or a blackout instead of being sold to the grid. Battery technology is also constantly changing and becoming a common part of solar energy solutions utilized across the Mornington Peninsula and throughout Australia.

WHAT SOLAR PANEL IS BEST FOR ME?

In the end, it’s all about your return on investment. How much electricity does your photovoltaic system produce in total over the course of an entire day or year — and at what cost? At Dunton Group we carefully select the brands and products we use making sure the quality is high while providing good value and importantly, performs how it should to provide the desired solution.

One of the most common brands installed by our team is the SunPower from Maxeon Solar Technologies range, meaning our customers benefit from some of the strongest warranties in the solar industry. Whether you choose the flagship SunPower Maxeon panel line, which is backed by an incredible 40-year warranty, or the value-line SunPower Performance panels with their 25-year warranty, you can rest assured that you’ll have peace of mind for decades to come. Obviously talk to our team about the details and differences, we are also experienced in the installation of a variety of solar panel brands to ensure our systems are designed to meet the specific needs of our customers not only for today but the future.

Each of the panels we recommend are manufactured with the absolute confidence to deliver more energy, reliability and savings over time and reinforced by extensive third party testing and field data from millions of panels used worldwide to ensure you get the best quality available, and complete peace of mind.

SHOULD I CHOOSE A STRING OR MICROINVERTER SYSTEM?

A String inverter system is the most commonly used system due to the simple setup and lower cost. Each panel is strung together and the DC energy produced is fed into a single inverter that then converts the energy into AC energy.

In a Microinverter system each panel has its own smaller inverter installed underneath. The DC energy is converted to AC energy at the panel.

At Dunton Group, we’re experienced and qualified installers of both options. We tailor a solution to meet the individual needs of our clients, using the best quality brands and products available.

WHY CHOOSE DUNTON GROUP

Our team are qualified electricians and have extensive experience combined with specialised training in all our products from key suppliers like Tesla, Fronius, SunPower, Enphase and more. There are way too many ‘cowboy’ solar companies out there focused only on selling as quickly as possible and moving on. Often these companies outsource the installation of the solar system and handball the blame when it doesn’t go to plan. This is a recipe for disaster, with product failures, inefficient setups, or worse.

We supply and install high quality solar panels, microinverters, battery storage and more across the Mornington Peninsula and beyond. With rave reviews and an extensive list of references, we put our name to our work and ensure our standards are the highest around!
