Tesla Powerwall 3
The Tesla Powerwall 3 is a compact, high-performance home battery designed to store energy from your solar system or the grid. It ensures continuous power supply, even during blackouts, with seamless transitions to backup power. Customisable power modes allow you to prioritise energy for savings, backup, or electric vehicle charging.
You can set up your Powerwall 3 to automatically charge to full capacity when severe weather is expected, ensuring you’re prepared for potential outages. The system also supports EV charging with clean solar energy, either during the day or overnight.
One of the biggest upgrades in Powerwall 3 is its built-in solar inverter, allowing you to connect up to 20 kW of solar panels directly. However, it still requires the Tesla Gateway for backup and system monitoring. Powerwall 3 is an excellent choice for those purchasing a new solar and battery system together, providing an almost all-in-one solution for energy storage and management.
Tesla Powerwall 2
The Powerwall 2 is the previous generation of Tesla’s battery storage system and is now moving to a made-to-order model. If you already have a Powerwall 2 and want to expand your system, it remains a reliable option.
Unlike Powerwall 3, Powerwall 2 requires a separate solar inverter alongside its battery inverter housed in the Tesla unit. It also uses a Tesla Gateway for backup power and system monitoring. While it may not be as streamlined as the Powerwall 3, a skilled installer can ensure a clean and professional installation.
BYD Battery Box HVM
The BYD Battery Box HVM is a modular home battery that provides scalable energy storage. You can expand your system by adding HVM modules or parallel stacks, making it ideal for homes with growing energy needs.
This high-performance battery offers efficient backup power, off-grid functionality, and maximum safety with its cobalt-free lithium iron phosphate (LFP) technology. It features a real high-voltage series connection for better efficiency and a modular plug design for simple installation without internal wiring.
The BYD Battery Box HVM is compatible with all of our inverters and meets the highest safety standards.
