Solar Installation For The Amazing People At Uncommon Folk

The team at Dunton Group were incredibly excited to have the opportunity to provide renewable energy for the wonderful people of Uncommon Folk, a social enterprise dedicated to driving social and environmental change for our current and future generations. Part of that process is ‘The Farm’ based in Main Ridge, a 200-acre site where multiple micro businesses can cofunction. A place to promote and encourage regenerative farming practices for a sustainable and innovative future.

Inspiring businesses such as Yolky Dokey and Cherry Road are just a sample of the local businesses benefitting from the work and vision of Uncommon Folk. Something we’re very much aligned with at Dunton Group and we were proud to be the chosen supplier of a 40-panel solar system to provide renewable energy to the site with an estimated CO2 reduction of 26.2 tonnes.

With a generous grant from the Mornington Peninsula Shire, Uncommon Folk have gone above and beyond to ensure the site is able to utilize a renewable energy opportunity. It is pleasing to see environmentally conscious organizations helping to drive a positive change on the Peninsula. Organisations such as Uncommon Folk and Repower Mornington Peninsula are actively exploring ways to provide renewable energy options to as many people in the community as possible. Helping to dramatically reducing the carbon emissions from our beautiful corner of the world.
